OLIVER + LITTLES

Over the past week or two now, I've been teaching myself to sew and have fallin in love with it. I had this nice sewing machine packed away since my mom gave it to me and finally decided to use it. I wanted to make my son blankets, after learning that I started making everything else I could. I have found that sewing is a stress reliever and something to do while the little one naps, besides watch tv junk. Don't get me wrong, I still love to watch reality tv.

I worked like a crazy person yesterday from the moment I woke up till the moment I laid my head down on my pillow....and then the baby woke up, great timing kid, well played. Oliver was the model for these of course, we ended up waiting for dad to get home to help. (we bribed him with puffs)

Check us out on Etsy! Oliver + Littles

OLIVER'S ROOM

This is Oliver, he still lives at home.

We moved into a very old house (1900) a few months back, we love it. I kind of went crazy for the last few months flipping out about possible lead poisoning with our son. The past owners also had a baby about Oliver's age so that kind of put my mind at ease. Thankfully, we got his lead test done early at his 9 month appointment and he is in the clear!

When we first saw this house when looking to buy, we saw this room, well it was a closet lol. But I knew this room would be the perfect nursery, it just needed to be pretty much completely redone. Thankfully I have a wonderful fiance who goes above and beyond on making my dreams come true. cheesy, whatever.

This was the "room" before we bought the house and moved in.

Huge closet. With a tv.

After a lot of work, sweat, and beers, we got Oliver's room together....

We somehow lost his rug, our dog bed covers and dog blankets in the move. It makes me sad but also I get to shop for a new rug....aka pace the rug aisles at Target for hours until I finish my Starbucks.

BIRTHDAY THEMES

I know it's a little early to be thinking of Oliver's first birthday, but to be honest...I've been kind of planning it since he was 5-6 months lol.

His favorite thing has always been Yo Gabba Gabba, he smiles every time we turn it on. So naturally, we've been thinking of a Yo Gabba Gabba theme for his first birthday.

But, i've also fallen in love with other themes, so i'm saving them for other birthdays...and possibly a daughter in the future (fingers crossed).

Aren't these themes adorable? I also would love to throw Oliver a Harry Potter themed party one year.

NURSERY TOUR

We finally almost have the nursery ready for baby Oliver, we just need papa to anchor in the frames above the crib. We have a few more things to get for the house and our bedroom for him, but other than that it's now the waiting game. I decided to go ahead and share some photos of his room now that it's finished, we're over the moon in love with out it turned out.Oliver will be sleeping in our room for a while but hoping once i get back on a regular sleep schedule, we'll be using his crib more for day naps while i get things done around the house.

and his going home outfit :)

BABY OLIVER'S GOING HOME OUTFIT

As baby Oliver's due date creeps closer and closer (i swear i blink and I'm another month pregnant), we've been looking at going home outfits, because well i guess it's a big deal. We wanted something that went with his nursery theme and a little Halloween to it. We spent two days obsessing over a few cute things on etsy and decided on this one.

It's already on it's way to us now to wash and pack for his hospital bag. exciting! We got this outfit from the Rocking Horse Lane shop on etsy, visit them here.

We're also pairing this little number with his crib moccs from Freshly Picked.

WOW, I'M HORRIBLE AT THIS

Wow, i'm horrible at this whole blogging thing. i promise to try to remember to update regularly. keyword, try. Hi my name is Lauren and i suffer from pregnancy brain.

Last time i posted on this we still didn't know the sex of our little one. Well, since then we had a gender reveal get together and found out we're having a little boy. We both were hoping for a girl but couldn't be happier it's going to be boy. His name is Oliver.

I'm now in my 3rd trimester and i'm over the moon in love with this baby. Watching him move about throughout the day is the best part of my day. I dream of what he's going to look like and what his cry will sound like. I'm beyond nervous about delivery but i know it'll all be worth it when he arrives.

Life lately has been busy with trying to get our household ready for baby. I moved into Robert's house and we decided to remodel. We replaced the carpets with laminate wood floors and repainted the walls, thank god. the walls were brown, not his choosing though lol. I'm going to take photos once we're all finished and show the before and after of the remodel. we saw the before today and it honestly doesn't even look like the same house. I've also been busy with getting my little candle shop ready to go live, turns out there's a lot of things to do to prep for this. I hope to get it going by the end of this month or at least before baby O arrives.

I will try to make more of an effort in keeping this little blog updated for family and friends. In the meantime, look at that pout and those cheeks :)

WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET

Since i'm embarking on a new journey in life, I've decided to create a blog to share the adventures soon to come with my family and friends. So about 7 weeks ago, after taking two pregnancy test and seeing those two little pink lines, my life has changed completely. it's changed completely, but for the better and i'm the happiest I've ever been. Don't get me wrong, its quite terrifying, but there's more positives than there are negatives. Plus, when we went to our first sono appointment and found out that our due date is November 1st of this year, we both were excited and are hopeful for a Halloween baby. I'ts our favorite holiday.

Here's the sonograms we have, each time we've heard the heartbeat, it's the best and weirdest feeling in the world. Every time we go to see it, it makes it feel so real. We're over the moon.
We've also eaten our fair share of Pei Wei lately, and the Mr. got these fortunes two different times.

We decided to save both of them because it's pretty crazy spot on, and we're both hoping it's a girl, Honestly, we'll be happy with either, just as long as it's a healthy baby.

Thanks for stopping by and we'll be posting more of our adventure as we go.
