DESKTOP WALLPAPERS | DESIGN LOVE FEST

Every few months I like to update my laptop wallpaper with a new look, with every season, a new look. My all time favorite spot to find good ones are at DESIGNLOVEFEST, she makes the best! This is the one I've chosen for this season and it's so warm, colorful, and cheerful. Head on over to her blog and check them out, they have a million of them I swear lol.

I'm just enjoying a little quite time currently while the boys watch a movie with their dad on the sofa. I have a million things to do before tomorrow for Easter but I have zero energy. I'm hoping this cup of coffee does the trick!

Happy Easter everyone and I'll see y'all Monday :)

PRINTABLES | BATHROOM PRINTS

Since I've been on bed rest, I've been kind of going stir crazy not nesting or doing anything around the house. I finally gave in this morning when I woke up with way too much energy but still having to take it easy. I wanted to work on our half bathroom today, I still need to finish painting it but I mean that's for another day...so i found these awesome free printables and had to print and hang them today.

here are two of them I chose for our half bathroom, I LOVE them lol. My husband even thought they were cute and funny. Please excuse the mess and unfinished walls...I have a toddler and trying to paint is always a gamble with him being awake.

If you'd like to download, please head on over to The Mountain View Cottage Blog. She also has some other free printables that I've saved for the holidays.

OH, HELLO

A lot has happened since my last blog post, I guess I got caught up with the candle shop and planning our wedding. Well, since then, we've got hitched (yay for no longer living in sin!). We also became pregnant with our second a month prior to the wedding, and of course my baby bump was in full swing early just in time for the big day :) We had to spill the beans at the wedding because there was no hiding it lol, we still had a blast and I got to marry my person.

We also moved! With another one on the way, we had decided that maybe we should move closer to family and find a newer home that would be safer for the kids. We were living in a house that was 117 years old, there were gas lines coming up from the ground in each room, lead paint behind lots and lots of layers of paint, the house wouldn't keep warm during the winter, and we just didn't like how our little town that we fell in love with, was starting to go down hill due to the city manager. We had amazing neighbors that I keep in touch with, they were the best part about the town, beside the food!

We found an awesome neighborhood that focuses on families and children, every holiday is celebrated hugely here, which I love and I can't wait for Halloween! I've been nesting like crazy and have been trying to get the house ready before baby arrives, so i'll be posting some post of before and afters.

I'm currently on modified bed rest for another week due to this baby sizing so big and having high fluids, I was having pre term contractions from lugging this big ol' belly around. Trying to stay in bed and rest is hard when you have a toddler and all you want to do is nest and get things ready. Thankfully I went hard beforehand and got mostly everything ready for baby. Now we just have to wait for the big day!

I will be posting more now that things have kind of slowed down, my candle shop was put on hold during the move and I'm thinking it's a good idea to keep it on vacation mode till this new little one is a few months old. I want to focus on my growing little family.

SHE'S CRAFTY | DOLLAR STORE FALL WREATH

We've been ballin' on a budget since planning this wedding and I had been searching for a new fall wreath that wasn't $40 and up. After waiting on sales and they still were overpriced, I gave in and found some fall fake flowers at the dollar general. We already had this empty wreath at home from last year, so I decided to make my own fall wreath. It surprisingly turned out pretty cute! Thought I would share :)

The flowers were a dollar a piece so I just cut them down and shoved them in the wreath, lol. I spent $6 on them, and the wreath I had bought on sale a year ago for like $10.

I had helpers, aka little gremlins running off with my flowers.

side note : I really need to sweep and clean our porch...

OLIVER'S ROOM

This is Oliver, he still lives at home.

We moved into a very old house (1900) a few months back, we love it. I kind of went crazy for the last few months flipping out about possible lead poisoning with our son. The past owners also had a baby about Oliver's age so that kind of put my mind at ease. Thankfully, we got his lead test done early at his 9 month appointment and he is in the clear!

When we first saw this house when looking to buy, we saw this room, well it was a closet lol. But I knew this room would be the perfect nursery, it just needed to be pretty much completely redone. Thankfully I have a wonderful fiance who goes above and beyond on making my dreams come true. cheesy, whatever.

This was the "room" before we bought the house and moved in.

Huge closet. With a tv.

After a lot of work, sweat, and beers, we got Oliver's room together....

We somehow lost his rug, our dog bed covers and dog blankets in the move. It makes me sad but also I get to shop for a new rug....aka pace the rug aisles at Target for hours until I finish my Starbucks.

NURSERY TOUR

We finally almost have the nursery ready for baby Oliver, we just need papa to anchor in the frames above the crib. We have a few more things to get for the house and our bedroom for him, but other than that it's now the waiting game. I decided to go ahead and share some photos of his room now that it's finished, we're over the moon in love with out it turned out.Oliver will be sleeping in our room for a while but hoping once i get back on a regular sleep schedule, we'll be using his crib more for day naps while i get things done around the house.

and his going home outfit :)
