OH, HELLO AGAIN...

So I kind of forgot I had this blog going, and then I had another baby and everything I had planned went out the window. I was slowly learning how to adjust to life with two under the age of two. Lets just say, it was INTENSE for a bit, but after Harrison turned 10-11 months it finally started getting easier. I was able to leave my house, looking a hot mess and a traveling circus, but still able to get out and about with two small children. I once drove all the way to target on a particularly stressful day with the kids, hoping we could just aimlessly walk the isles while I sipped my iced coffee and bought things I didn't need. I got out of the car, and noticed I was wearing two different sandals, I think I started crying and hysterically laughing at the same time. Hormones are a b*tch ya'll and I was on the roller coaster of emotions that day. I got the kids out and wore my completely mismatched sandals through the store and sipped my ice coffee with pride. I should also state that I'm pretty sure I had attempted to give myself a manicure the night before and forgot to clean up the nail polish around my nails. Next level mess.

Anyways, so it's been a while. Things have changed. We moved to a smaller town and it's been an adjustment. There's no Target, (que gasp) I know I know, but I make a 30 minute drive almost weekly to get my fix in the closest town to me that has one. I've written Target more times than I'd like to admit to build a target in my town. I've even gone as far as telling them where to put it. They've quit responding now. So I guess we'll see, el oh el.

Oliver is now 3 and Harrison is going to turn 2 in July, I can't believe how quickly the second baby grows. We also adopted another animal, so I guess you could say I'm an animal hoarder at this point and I'm thinking about opening a zoo. My husband won't allow anymore pets, so I got a fish. You win some, you lose some. We adopted our chihuahua, Tilly and she's been a blessing and a nightmare. She really is the sweetest chihuahua I've ever met though. She does get jealous but she only shows her pretty white teeth and then kisses you. She's great with kids, which again, I've been told is odd for a chihuahua.

I'm going to try and post twice a week on here, but honestly I'm so forgetful now that I'll probably touch base again in another year and a half. kidding, kind of.

The boys actually getting along (bad quality)
Oliver has developed a new obsession with medical gloves. It makes going to the pediatrician easier and it's a little creepy too.
Sweet Harrison always wakes up smiling, in fact he's almost always smiling. I love it.
Oliver is following his mamas footsteps and has to have his "Chick o Way" weekly.
Oliver got to go to his first Home Depot build workshop, it was adorable.
Trying to get this one trained to like cooking, so I don't have to.
Tilly (aka ET), the chihuahua my husband never wanted.

until next time!

OH, HELLO

A lot has happened since my last blog post, I guess I got caught up with the candle shop and planning our wedding. Well, since then, we've got hitched (yay for no longer living in sin!). We also became pregnant with our second a month prior to the wedding, and of course my baby bump was in full swing early just in time for the big day :) We had to spill the beans at the wedding because there was no hiding it lol, we still had a blast and I got to marry my person.

We also moved! With another one on the way, we had decided that maybe we should move closer to family and find a newer home that would be safer for the kids. We were living in a house that was 117 years old, there were gas lines coming up from the ground in each room, lead paint behind lots and lots of layers of paint, the house wouldn't keep warm during the winter, and we just didn't like how our little town that we fell in love with, was starting to go down hill due to the city manager. We had amazing neighbors that I keep in touch with, they were the best part about the town, beside the food!

We found an awesome neighborhood that focuses on families and children, every holiday is celebrated hugely here, which I love and I can't wait for Halloween! I've been nesting like crazy and have been trying to get the house ready before baby arrives, so i'll be posting some post of before and afters.

I'm currently on modified bed rest for another week due to this baby sizing so big and having high fluids, I was having pre term contractions from lugging this big ol' belly around. Trying to stay in bed and rest is hard when you have a toddler and all you want to do is nest and get things ready. Thankfully I went hard beforehand and got mostly everything ready for baby. Now we just have to wait for the big day!

I will be posting more now that things have kind of slowed down, my candle shop was put on hold during the move and I'm thinking it's a good idea to keep it on vacation mode till this new little one is a few months old. I want to focus on my growing little family.

THE STORY OF VIOLET

We have three cats, scratch that...make it four cats. We kind of have a zoo, not including Oliver.

This past weekend I finally got a night all to myself and I was pumped, I had already planned to paint my nails, watch crappy movies, and drink wine. Then it happened, the tiniest sounding meow right behind me. At first I thought one of our cats got locked into a room or closet or cabinet, which happens a lot because curiosity killed the cat. So I start searching around the house and do a roll call on all the cats, they're all there and fine. So I sit back down on the couch and I hear it again! Finally I realize it's coming from outside and I go out there to look, I keep hearing the meow but I can't see shit. Where we live, in a small town, there isn't much light at night and my iphone flashlight just isn't cutting it. I throw on my rain boots in fear of being eating alive by bugs or a snake. I finally see the kitten, well her little white back legs, then I don't see her again for the rest of the evening. I looked for her the entire night, I finally gave up and went to bed because there wasn't much I could do if she wasn't going to come out. I thought at least she's good at hiding so she should be safe until the morning and I can look for her again.

She meowed ALLLL night, I woke up at 4am to get Oliver to nurse and I heard the kitten meowing. When we woke up for the day, I went outside to get her. I meowed trying to get her to meow back so I could locate her and sure enough she came to me. Seriously? lol, that's all I had to do to get her out? Why didn't I think of that the night before.

She was filthy, sick, and hungry, So I gave her a bath, got her some kitten milk and food. We made her a little safe place in our guest bathroom for her to get acquainted and to rest up. I took her to the vet and she had a respiratory infection so she's been on medicine since.

This is her now, living the life of a spoiled house cat.

Welcome to the family, Violet! (Don't piss on the rugs, please.)

WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET

Since i'm embarking on a new journey in life, I've decided to create a blog to share the adventures soon to come with my family and friends. So about 7 weeks ago, after taking two pregnancy test and seeing those two little pink lines, my life has changed completely. it's changed completely, but for the better and i'm the happiest I've ever been. Don't get me wrong, its quite terrifying, but there's more positives than there are negatives. Plus, when we went to our first sono appointment and found out that our due date is November 1st of this year, we both were excited and are hopeful for a Halloween baby. I'ts our favorite holiday.

Here's the sonograms we have, each time we've heard the heartbeat, it's the best and weirdest feeling in the world. Every time we go to see it, it makes it feel so real. We're over the moon.
We've also eaten our fair share of Pei Wei lately, and the Mr. got these fortunes two different times.

We decided to save both of them because it's pretty crazy spot on, and we're both hoping it's a girl, Honestly, we'll be happy with either, just as long as it's a healthy baby.

Thanks for stopping by and we'll be posting more of our adventure as we go.
